Cookie and cache settings in Firefox

Menu names checked: October 12, 2026

Firefox uses different labels from Chrome. Cookies appear as “Cookies and Site Data.” The cache appears as “Cached Web Content.”

Open the controls

  1. Open privacy settings

Open the menu (three lines) at the top right, choose Settings, and select Privacy & Security.

  2. Open the clear-data dialog

In the Cookies and Site Data section, click Clear Data…. In the dialog, check Cookies and Site Data, Cached Web Content, or both.

  3. Click Clear

Read the note in the dialog, then confirm.

  4. Or use the shortcut

Press Ctrl+Shift+Delete (on a Mac, Command+Shift+Delete). That dialog adds a time range and can include history. Select only the cookie and cache rows you want.

Clear one site only

For one site, click the lock in the address bar, choose Clear cookies and site data, and confirm. To pick from a list, click Manage Data… in the Cookies and Site Data section, search for the site, and remove the selection.

Afterward
