Cookie and cache settings in Edge

Menu names checked: October 12, 2026

Microsoft Edge ships with Windows on many PCs. The layout resembles Chrome, but the menu is named Clear browsing data.

Open the controls

  1. Open the dialog

Select Settings and more (the three dots), then Settings. Open Privacy, search, and services and, under Clear browsing data, select Choose what to clear.

The shortcut is Ctrl+Shift+Delete. On a Mac it is Command+Shift+Delete.

  2. Choose the time range

The range applies to the rows you leave checked. All time covers the whole period stored in this profile.

  3. Split the checkboxes

Turn on Cookies and other site data, Cached images and files, or both. Leave the other rows off.

  4. Select Clear now

Reload any tab that was already open.

Clear one site only

Open the site, click the lock in the address bar, and review cookies and site data. To pick from a list, enter edge://settings/content/all, find the site, and delete that entry only.

Afterward

Cookies cleared in Edge stay cleared in Edge. Another browser on the same computer keeps its own cookies.
